Summer Isn’t Complete without Tech Camp!
Join us for Summer at ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Tech! Our FREE day camps are open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and offer a variety of exciting topics for campers to explore. In addition to enjoying fun summer days with their peers, campers will acquire foundational skills that they can use throughout high school and beyond.
Led by ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Tech’s industry-leading faculty, each day camp runs from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm at ×ö°®ÊÓƵ’s campuses in Warwick and East Greenwich, RI. Campers will learn in the same facilities and labs as our college students, giving them the opportunity to develop new skills in a college environment.
We offer two types of campsÌý – Immersive and Experiential.
Choose Your Camp Experience:
- IMMERSIVE CAMPS: These allow campers to dive deep into a specific topic of their choice for one week (4 business days).

- EXPERIENTIAL CAMPS: These are two-week programs (10 business days) that provide hands-on learning experiences across various topics.

Summer Camp spots are limited and completing a lottery application is required. Each camp has its own lottery application link.
Priority registration for summer camp will be extended to students from schools in Pawtucket, Providence, Central Falls, and Woonsocket before opening to the broader community.
This year, thanks to a federal earmark secured by U.S. Senator Jack Reed, Summer Tech Camp is FREE! All materials, lunches, and instructions will be provided at no cost to participants.

2025 Tech Camps

Immersive Camp, Session 1: June 24 – June 27, 2025
AREA OF STUDY DESCRIPTION LOTTERY APPLICATION: AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
In the Automotive Technology Summer Camp, students will learn basic maintenance procedures such as tire rotation, flat tire repair, oil and filter changes, and servicing both air and cabin air filters. Closed-toe shoes and pants are required for safety.
Location: 110 Access Rd, Warwick
Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
This camp will introduce students to digital SLR photography, covering fundamental concepts such as aperture, shutter speed, and composition. Students will also experiment with different lighting setups in a photo studio environment.
Location: 1 ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Tech Blvd, East Greenwich
Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.ROBOTICS & DRONES ROBOTICS & DRONES
Students will assemble a small robotic car and learn to program basic commands for it. They will also have the opportunity to program and control a small robotic arm called the Dobot Magician. Additionally, students will use flight simulators to learn how to fly a drone before flying small drones during class.

CyberCamp introduces students to the exciting field of cybersecurity. Participants learn essential skills in ethical hacking, network security, cryptography, and digital forensics. Whether they are beginners or aspiring professionals, attendees develop problem-solving abilities and technical expertise needed to protect digital assets. The program encourages collaboration and exploration of career pathways in cybersecurity while enhancing critical thinking and teamwork skills.

Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.21st-CENTURY WOODWORKING 21st-CENTURY WOODWORKING
Students will learn how technology is used in woodworking. This includes exploring how computers assist woodworkers in designing pieces and constructing projects. In this camp, we will create and build a small piece of furniture using a CNC machine, which students will take home.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of various physical therapy techniques, including wheelchair components, transfer skills, crutch training, cardiovascular fitness exercises, and strength and conditioning.

Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.DIGITAL ANIMATION DIGITAL ANIMATION
This camp will provide students with the essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to turn their creative ideas into reality through animation and motion graphics. Students will explore the theory behind traditional animation principles and apply what they learn using Adobe After Effects.

Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.FORENSICS AND CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION FORENSICS AND CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
During the camp experience, participants will learn forensic techniques and engage in hands-on activities in ×ö°®ÊÓƵ’s unique crime scene simulation labs. The topics covered will include fingerprinting methods, the use of Alternate Light Sources, shoe wear impressions, blood spatter analysis, and mock crime scene investigation walkthroughs.

Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm daily.ELECTRONICS ELECTRONICS
Students will learn to use simulation software for designing and testing circuits. They will also build and test these circuits using physical components. By the end of the course, they will assemble and solder a small, fully functioning circuit.

What is the difference between the two camps?
Immersive Camps are four-day programs that concentrate on one specific career field/area of study.
Experiential Camps last for two weeks (10 business days) and offer hands-on learning across various topics. Each day, students participate in two separate workshops, with different workshops scheduled for each day!

Does my student need to be experienced in the topic they are selecting to be able to participate?
No. Each program is designed for entry-level students, but there is flexibility for those with experience to benefit from the workshops and learn something new.

Is transportation provided?
No. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp.

Is lunch provided?
Yes. All students will receive a boxed lunch. Please specify any dietary restrictions on the registration form. Accommodations will be made for students with specific dietary needs.

Will participants need to cover any additional costs?
No. Thanks to a federal earmark secured by U.S. Senator Jack Reed, participation is completely free – all materials, lunches, and instruction will be provided at no cost.

When will the lottery occur and when will I be notified of which camp I am accepted into?
The Lottery is scheduled to take place on or around May 1st. Those selected will be notified shortly after the drawing. Participants will have until May 11th to accept or decline their spot. Those who are not selected in the first round of the lottery will be placed on a waitlist in case additional spots become available.

Where will the camps be held?
Camps will be held at all three campuses and the specific location is based on the camp topic. Our campus locations are: 1 ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Tech Blvd in East Greenwich, 110 Access Road in Warwick, and 2480 Post Road in Warwick. Students will not need to travel between campuses during each day of learning.

What will my child be learning and doing in camp?
The camp topic will determine the curriculum and activities, but each camp will feature a blend of classroom learning and hands-on lab activities, with a strong emphasis on the latter.

Can my child participate in more than one camp?
You can apply for as many camps as you want to enter the lottery for; however, you can only participate in one camp if selected. If you are chosen for multiple camps, a representative from ×ö°®ÊÓƵ will reach out to you to confirm your preference.
