Denise Gautreau, Office of Teaching and Learning Instructional Designer
Denise joins ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Tech as an Instructional Designer, ready to assist faculty with the college’s initiatives to increase our online presence by offering effective online learning experiences for our students. Her skills include project management, research, problem solving, teaching/communication, and instructional design and technology. She started her career as a research assistant in the subject areas of electrical engineering, biology, biochemistry, and then as a scientist in cardiovascular, metabolic, and endocrine disease for Pfizer.
In the past few years, she has worked in instructional design and technology as an intern at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Roger Williams University, as part of her M.Ed. program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Denise has created and developed e-Learning modules, written tutorial documentation for faculty and students, designed and built review modules, and designed, shot and edited a scientific instructional video.
Denise has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island, and is a M.Ed. candidate in Instructional Design at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a Master Gardener at the University of Rhode Island and volunteers as a windsurfing counselor with ×ö°®ÊÓƵ Science and Sailing.
